Had dinner here with a couple friends. There is a 20% off pasta special on Wednesday, and I was looking forward to trying out the menu.
The portions were pretty small for the price to be honest, even with the discount, and I was left feeling hungry after my pasta when I usually have a pretty small appetite. My husband didn't really care for his gnocchi, the texture was fine but the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. The linguine vongole was pretty good, but the flavour of the thin sauce didn't really stick to the noodles that much so most of it ended up on the bottom of the bowl. The linguine with meatballs was devoured by my friends, and they were left feeling very full and happy with their order. The desserts were pretty good.
The service was great however, and it's in a really good location to walk the beach before or after.
First time here and although the decor is very dated and smells like moth balls when you enter, the food is really delicious, the bread was warm and tasty and our server Thomas was a delight!!
We will be back to try brunch and maybe tea time…
I had the chicken Marsala and it was tasty, the pastas and tiramisu also authentically Italian
The pastas were amazing, everything else was okay. Our server was very friendly and nice, however the other employees were not very attentive (bread did not come for a long time - we had to ask for it, manager never came to verify the specials we'd asked about). ALSO - I must point out that when they were shredding cheese for us, they didn't say "tell me when", they just stopped after a small portion of cheese. For a table of cheese lovers, this was not acceptable. We ordered the Arancini and they were the smallest we've ever seen, and they tasted just okay. For pastas, we got Linguine Frutti Di Mare, Penne Pugliese and Short Rib Pappardelle - all were delicious. On Wednesday, pastas are 20% off so we got a great deal! Overall, I would come back for the pastas.
